Default Weapons in Towns: Better than Mini-pets

People spend millions in acquisition of high-end weapons for their character yet you can only see them in explorable, pve, pvp areas. Will it be cool if we can show them in outposts?

weapons vs minipets

1) Most weapons have no animation while minipets move and lead parties
2) Weapons don't produce sounds so there is nothing to whine about them
3) Weapons are more useful (killing, giving armor) than minipets so weapons have the right to be shown off
4) High end weapons are more expensive than high end minipets

Let's force A.Net to make weapons displayable in outposts. If whines prompted A.net to remove minipet sounds, /signs will make this feature in game. so please /sign.

There should be a toggleable holster for your weapons and sheild/focus so u can display them slung on your back or by your side in a sheath or on a bandolier or something.
That way everybody can see you Magmas shield and icy dragon sword strapped to your back.
(and you can tell if your monk is going to pull out a hammer as soon as you start the mission, rather than get a nasty surprise)

There's no sense in this, at least in GW. What's the point in investing hundreds of platinum for a perfect weapon just for show off in towns if you can achieve the same with a crappy version of the same skin? This looks cool in L2 but not here.

And the thread continues on about showing your weapons in town...

besides i dont think carrying your weapons unsheathed in town is a very good idea....it just looks stupid, imo.

Agreed, weapons would be better than mini-pets.

It's more of a worthwhile update than seeing these stupid looking mini-pets in town.

Seriously, pets are such a stupid idea. They have no bearing on this game what-so-ever. If they provided some sort of group buff...maybe they would be a good addition for gameplay. Other than that, they're worthless.

At least weapons / shields / off-hands look cool. Seeing someone running around with a weapon you really like > seeing a stupid looking mini Rurik.

It would just be another thing groups argue about before starting a mission.

At least someone picked topic worth some words.
PvE rewards are for showing to other people like in any other mmorpg, uve got here outposts so it's dump when you can't show your more valueable thing u got, even ascended armor is worthless cuz it still has "normal" stats like first one armors and you farm gold for it only for show.
You buy, or grind your weapon for stats! green's with unique look and stats are for something there! unique looks should be showed, i don't know why Anet didn't make it as option to show it same as cap or hemlet it's so oblivious!
They could add better looking skins to better weapon stats just to finish buying useless weapons only for awesome skin.

dumb idea ever, when u got event's headpiece on your head they argue about your worthless? u can change weapon in one button click, how anyone could argue about weapon skin... then cannot see weapon's stats

need weapon show in outpost toggle thing!

I would rather have the weapon sheath'd in town, this would take a new animation but would be highly worth it to me.

Image if you have a shield, and a sephis. You have your shield equipped onto your back, while the sephis is sheathed underneath it.

- Weapons unsheath'd in towns just seems.... unrealistic and stupid.

I think they should make minipets pick up gold for us when fighting, then there would actuly be a use for them.

Use the other thread! Oh noes, it's not EXACTLY the same, well, the main point is the same, and Anet isnt going to copy paste someone's idea, they're going to put in whatever they want however they want. Closed.
